Minecraft First Day Survival Tips/Guide

In Minecraft first day can be a bit of pain. Since, the zombies, skeletons and other dangerous mobs make it much harder for a new player to survive. Here you'll be provided with some beginner tips or guide to get really started. As, a day in minecraft lasts for 20 real minutes (day/night = 10 minutes), you should be doing it real fast to survive your first day/night.

Tip 1: Obviously, the first ever thing a Minecrafter does is to craft a crafting table. For this you need to a break any wooden log from nearby tree, put it in your inventory to convert it into 4 wood planks. Now, use these four wood planks to make a crafting table.

Tip 2: Now that you got a crafting table, craft a wooden pickaxe from wood planks and sticks made by the planks. Then, mine and collect some cobble stones and make stone tools such as stone axe, sword, pickaxe, etc. Additionally, you can make a furnace, but for it to work you need to collect coal as fuel for your furnace. Keep in mind that a coal block lasts longer than 9 individual coals.

Tip 3: If you successfully followed the above steps, you should be doing just fine until now. The next thing to go for is food and shelter. For food slay as many cows, sheep, chickens, and pigs as you can. You can also cook your food in furnace for bettet effect. But, for a shelter, it is a bit tough. You need to collect at least three (3) wool of the same colour and three wood planks. During the night, if player sleeps on bed, it will skip the night. Remeber, if you are too close to any hostile mob, you won't be able to sleep until you move away from it.

Tip 4: For some reasons if you didn't find a bed. You can always dig a hole and cover your self for whole night (this is really boring). In better scenario, you may find a village and steel whatever you require for your survival such as bed, breads (food) etc.
