Summoning the Wither Boss in Minecraft

The Wither Boss is a hostile and dangerous mob, and the only player-spawned mob in the game.  The Wither is an undead mob that floats and shoots explosives on players and other mobs that come within its range.

His body is like bones,  and he has three heads similar to wither skeleton heads. Additionally, it appears black in colour and doesn't have any legs.

How to summon/spawn Wither?

The Wither is spawned when four blocks of soul sand or soul soil are placed in "T" shape, and  three wither skeleton skulls are placed upon the "T" shaped structure.

Above picture illustrates the way to spawn The Wither.  First, place four blocks of either soul sand or soul soil, then place three wither skeleton skulls on top of it.

How to find the material to spawn The Wither?

The Wither is spawned by using two materials;  the soul sand or soul soil,  and wither skeleton skulls.

To obtain soul sand or soul soil,  you need to find a soul biome (soul sand valley) in the Nether. In soul biome, there will be more than enough soul sand/soil.

However, collecting wither skeleton skulls is a bit tricky. For that, first you have to find a Nether Fortress, then kill as many wither skeletons as you can. Because,  only 2.5% chances are there for a wither skeleton to drop a skull. To increase the chances,  one may enchant sword with looting (I-III) or to blast a wither skeleton with a charged creeper.

If you followed the above instructions carefully, you'll be successfully spawning the Wither in your Minecraft world. But, make sure to be prepared as it is difficult to beat the Wither without any pre-planning.
